The Lamborghini Islero 400 GT was introduced in 1968 as the understated successor to the 400 GT 2+2. Built by Carrozzeria Marazzi, it featured clean, conservative lines compared to some of Lamborghini’s more dramatic designs, but stayed true to the brand’s front-engined grand touring formula.
It was powered by a 4.0-liter V12 producing around 325 horsepower, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Designed as a refined and comfortable GT rather than a showpiece, the Islero focused on usability and performance in a more subtle package. Only 125 examples of the 400 GT version were built before the updated Islero S arrived in 1969, making it one of the rarer production Lamborghinis of the late 1960s.
