1972 Lamborghini Jarama 400 GTS

The Lamborghini Jarama 400 GTS, introduced in 1972, was the updated and more powerful evolution of the original Jarama 400 GT. While the overall Bertone design remained largely the same, the GTS received subtle refinements, including revised hood vents, updated interior trim, and detail changes that sharpened its appearance.

The 3.9-liter V12 was tuned to produce around 365 horsepower, giving the car stronger performance and a more responsive character. Buyers could choose between a five-speed manual or a three-speed automatic transmission. Production of the GTS continued until 1976, with 150 examples built, making it slightly rarer than the earlier 400 GT and marking the final development of Lamborghini’s front-engined V12 2+2 lineage before the company shifted focus toward newer mid-engine models.
